The most in-demand career skills in South Africa currently

As of the end of June, data from the jobs portal Career Junction indicates the most in-demand jobs in South Africa for the first six months of 2023. According to the company’s most recent Industry Report, hiring climbed by 10% in June 2023 compared to the previous year, while recruitment activity increased by 6% year on year from June 2022. According to the organization, this was mostly due to a general increase in recruiting, as well as considerable increases in hiring for the Finance and IT sectors, as well as Admin, Office & Support and Architecture & Engineering.

The report’s data came from 5,000 of the country’s major recruiters, agencies, and companies who post job openings on the Career Junction platform. Building & Construction, Sales, and Business & Management were the industries with the biggest recruiting activity over the last three months, according to the statistics.
