
May 2020 | TERS Funding – Final Payment Letter
The Department of Employment and Labour has been circulating a letter to employers who have received TERS benefits on behalf of its employees as a declaration of what the total payments made to employees consisted of.
The purpose of this letter is to determine whether employees received an over payment in TERS benefits, in which case the UIF will raise a debt against the employee.
The letter generic and employers who have received TERS benefits are advised to complete and return the letter, even if it has not been received from DEL, as failure to do so may have an impact on claims for May.
