SARS digital platform upgrade 

We want to achieve our Vision 2024 of a smart, contemporary SARS with unquestioned integrity that can be trusted and respected. Our digital platforms and technological infrastructure are critical to delivering on our vision. To give clarity and predictability, make it easier for taxpayers and traders to comply with their obligations, and establish public trust and confidence, our digital assets must be highly available, robust, and secure.

In accordance with our Vision and Strategic Objectives, which include modernizing our systems to provide Digital and Streamlined online services, we are working hard to ensure the availability, robustness, and security of our digital platforms and technology infrastructure through regular upgrades, enhancements, and maintenance.

Considering the foregoing, SARS Digital platform changes are planned for Friday, May 17, 2024, from 18:00 to 22:00. During this transition, you may encounter intermittent service disruptions on our eFiling and Customs Digital Platform.

Responses (CUSRES messages) to transactions submitted during this period will be delayed; nonetheless, arrival and exit management capabilities are available at land border crossings for all released declarations and manifests.

Stakeholders are therefore requested to submit all Goods Declarations (bills of entry) and Road Manifest, particularly those designated priority, by Friday, May 17, 2024, at 17:00.
