The Department of Employment and Labour has published the updated National Minimum Wage in the Government Gazette on 4 February 2025. For your reference, please click here to access the official letter and Gazette publication detailing this update.

From 1 March 2025, the minimum wage will increase from R27.58 per hour to R28.79 per hour.

Clients in regulated sectors or under bargaining councils are reminded to ensure compliance with industry-specific minimum wage requirements.
